Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) Committee

Membership is comprised of hospital executives, community and business leaders dedicated to enhancing business relationships between health care providers and minority-owned business enterprises (MBEs).

Strategic focus is to develop business relations that provide:

  • cost savings and improved service potential with MBE (minority business enterprise) companies
  • avoid conflicts with national group purchasing commitments
  • focus on areas of significant volume
  • create meaningful leadership and job opportunities for the minority populations within our community

The Construction Sub-Committee was created to model the goals as stated above with a focus on construction related MBEs. Additionally, the scope is expanded to both 1st and 2nd Tier spending. This group is comprised of hospital leaders in operations, facilities/construction, diversity and materials management positions.
