Debbie Hayes Receives Patient Safety Award
Debbie Hayes, vice president and chief nursing officer at The Christ Hospital, is the 2008 recipient of the Greater Cincinnati Health Council’s Richard M. Smith, MD Leadership in Patient Safety Award. Hayes was was presented the award at the Health Council’s annual meeting on June 12. (more. . .)
Health Council Releases Vacancy Data
Overall vacancy rates in 32 “hard-to-fill” health care positions slightly increased in 2008 – from 5.2 percent to 6.3 percent – according to the Greater Cincinnati Health Council’s recently released 2008 Vacancy Report. (View a PDF breakdown of the data.)
New Website Allows Users Quick and Easy Access to Local Hospital Performance Data
Residents of the Tristate now have a new website, www.gchchospitalquality.org to find out how area hospitals compare on performance measures related to heart attack, congestive heart failure and pneumonia, three common conditions for hospitalization.
