2010 RN REFRESHER COURSE
The Greater Cincinnati Health Council, St. Elizabeth Healthcare, TriHealth and the College of Mount St. Joseph will be hosting the fall RN Refresher Course September 1 – November 23, 2010, for nurses who are interested in entering or re-entering the rewarding and challenging field of nursing in the acute care setting.
This year’s refresher course has been redesigned to incorporate 6 weeks of on-line learning through the College of Mount St. Joseph for the didactic portion of the course. The 8 week clinical component is provided by St. Elizabeth Healthcare and TriHealth.
The refresher course assists participants in developing and applying current knowledge in areas of the nursing process, health assessment, clinical skills, and clinical decision-making. It will also help registered nurses gain experience in providing clinical care to patients with selected nursing needs while allowing them to gain a renewed sense of confidence as a professional nurse.
Nurses qualified to participate in the program include:
- Registered nurses or new grads who want to update their nursing skills to enter or re-enter the acute care setting
- Those who want to update their skills to enter the acute care setting from other areas of nursing such as long-term care or physician offices
- Registered nurses who have been out of nursing for no more than10 years
- RNs with an active Ohio or Kentucky RN licensure
Limited number of students accepted!
The cost for this course is $1800.00 (payable in two $900 installments).
