  • About the Council

The Greater Cincinnati Health Council is a widely recognized association that provides a unique forum where hospital and health care leaders connect to create a stronger health care community. For more than 50 years, the Council has served as a trusted voice on hospital and health care issues for the Tristate region.

    • Health Council members (primarily hospitals and long-term care organizations) benefit from a place where they can put competition aside and work collaboratively to improve health care in the region.
    • Through the connections and shared learnings offered by the Health Council, members achieve better results for themselves, their patients and the community.

The Health Council is a non-profit association serving 30+ hospitals and more than 100 long-term care, home health and other health care providers in Southwestern Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana. The Council focuses on six key areas of service to its members that ultimately benefit the residents of Greater Cincinnati through high quality, high-value, accessible health care:

    • Quality improvement and patient safety
    • Work force development
    • Group purchasing
    • Advocacy/communications
    • Emergency readiness and safety
    • Data services
