Welcome to the Tristate Health Care Supplier Diversity Consortium.

The consortium is coalition of local hospital systems, the Greater Cincinnati Health Council and community organizations that share a common objective to increase supplier diversity/economic inclusion of minority and women-owned businesses in the health care supply chain. A steering team composed of senior level executives from regional health care systems and community representatives have set long-term goals for this initiative.

Consortium Long-Term Aspirational Goals

Total Goods & Services (10-15 percent Inclusion within three years): Set year –by-year targets to purchase 10-15 percent of your organization’s goods and services from minority and women owned suppliers.

Purchase Services: Set a goal to achieve 15 percent of professional service purchases (architects, accountants, lawyers, consultants, information technology professionals, etc.) from minority- and women owned suppliers.

25-30 Percent Contractor/Subcontractor Inclusion: Set goals to achieve spending of 25-30 percent of project dollars with minority- and women-owned contractors, subcontractors and suppliers on construction projects approved for $500,000 or more.

Construction Work Force Inclusion (25 percent within three years): Set year by year targets to increase inclusion of minority and female workers to 25 percent on construction projects.

Maximize the local impact of supplier diversity programs. Hold major health care suppliers accountable for supplier diversity results. Utilize national supplier diversity Billion Dollar Roundtable best-practices as guide for Consortium goals/definitions.
