    Purpose

To promote patient safety by empowering, educating and engaging patients to be active participants in their safety and care by standardizing the message patients and their families receive at every Greater Cincinnati hospital.

    Description

The Council’s It’s Okay to Ask Campaign is helping Council members work together to promote the need for partnerships between patients, their families and health care workers in the area of patient safety.

The campaign provides ideas and toolkit resources for Greater Cincinnati health care organizations to promote patient safety within their own facilities.

The ultimate goal is that health care facilities are encouraged to create a patient-friendly culture that enables patients to feel comfortable asking any questions regarding their care.
